Although we are meticulous in our preperation of our guitars during setup - even before the setup we will put the guitar through quality control.
Quality control involves checking the guitar for cosmetic and functional aspects. We are looking for defects that are beyond whet we believe is acceptable at the price point of the guitar. It can be quite a grey area in some cases - especially when considering cosmetic issues. Wood for example has natural grain - sometimes which can look like cosmetically "unappealing" to one customer and highly attractive to another!Rest assured after 25 years in the trade - with my main focus on making people happy - you get to know for the most part what your customers want - and will be inspired by.
